At first I wasn’t sure about this class because I wanted to learn how to write again. I had a Placement Exam and it has been about 2-3 years I haven’t wrote essays but after taking his class, I learner a lot and I passed my Placement Exam! Jamia is a wonderful teacher. She is very skilled yet patient with working with her students. She is also great at working with various levels at once and makes sure that she meets the needs of every student in the room. My student has learning disabilities and she made sure not to exclude him from any of the camp activities or treat him any different but instead used his outspoken behavior as a way to create a leader in him. We've worked with Ms. Jamia for over 3 years now between dance camps and reading comprehension one on one tutoring sessions and we simply love her!
